Camp Owaissa Bauer is a special activity area of the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department designed to offer overnight and extended camping for groups. The camp is available to organized groups up to one year in advance. Facilities include six dormitory-style cabins that sleep up to 150 campers. Four of the cabins have been upgraded with air conditioning and ADA accessible half bathrooms between the four of them they can sleep 100 campers. In addition there are three private quarters. The bath house has separate Men's and Women's ADA accessible restrooms and showers. A large, newly upgraded air conditioned dining hall with a fully equipped kitchen is available. Other indoor facilities include a meeting room and recreation patio with two ping pong tables and benches.
