Escambia County Marine Resources Division

Escambia County Marine Resources Division is a small division within the county's Department of Natural Resources Management. The Division's Mission Statement is: "To balance access to marine and freshwater resources with protection for sustainability."

Marine Resources Division's major programs include: Artificial Reefs; Waterways Access; Waterways Management; and Special Projects.

Escambia County Marine Resources Division's Youth Marine Education & Outreach Program includes:

  • fishing skills & ethical angling
  • marine debris prevention & removal
  • lionfish & exotic species awareness
  • other programs in response to local stakeholders' needs and requests
  • These programs are intended to increase awareness and appreciation of marine, estuarine and freshwater resources.
