Hilliard Parks & Recreation

We provide sports programs and events focused on providing youth with education on proper physical fitness, healthy eating, and keeping the environment clean. Our sports include soccer, basketball, flag football, fishing and occasionally tumbling/gymnastics or martial arts. The Town of Hilliard has an annual "clean-up day" I which we encourage youth and their families to join us in walking through our neighborhoods to clean up debris.

YMCA of Florida's First Coast

We provide Summer Day Camps at multiple locations throughout Clay County. Campers will discover new adventures, interests, skills, build self-confidence, make new friends and feel a sense of achievement. Above all, we focus on making summer fun!

At Camp Chowenwaw, we focus on arts, sports, fitness/wellness, character development, swimming, fishing, hiking, and outdoor exploration for ages 5-12 years old. Financial assistance is available!

The Nassau County 4-H Youth Development program create supportive environments for diverse youth to reach their fullest potential. Through hands-on activities, Nassau County 4-H provides youth the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop life skills that will lead them to be responsible citizens. 4-H focuses on many program areas including environmental science, agricultural, leadership, S.T.E.M., and community service.

Kid's Fishing Derby

On Saturday March 11, 2017, from 9:00AM-1:00PM the Osceola National Forest Presents, Kid's Fishing Derby. Located at Warmouth Pond, US Forest Service Road 263. Bring poles, tackle, bait, snacks, chairs and boots. A fishing clinic onsite will assist young anglers. There will be a limited number of fishing poles, please call in to reserve. Children must be accompanied by a parent. Trophies will be awarded in multiple categories. This location is primitive, dirt road access and portable restrooms. Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve

The purpose of Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve is to protect the natural ecology of over 46,000 acres of lands and waters and over 6,000 years of human history along the St. Johns and Nassau Rivers in northeast Florida. We offer a variety of special programs and events for the public throughout the year. These include education programs for schools, volunteer work days, seasonal night hikes, and living history events.
